Kathmandu । The former head coach of Nepal’s national team will now lead Sri Lanka in their upcoming AFC Qualifiers against Cambodia.
His appointment was confirmed following a meeting between the Sri Lanka Football Federation President and officials from Qatar’s Aspire Zone, including former Australian captain Tim Cahill.
Almutairi will begin his duties immediately, with Sri Lanka set to face Cambodia on September 5th at home and September 10th away in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers Play-Off.
